Schools Out for Virus Control

Schools Out for Virus Control

Parents are currently busy trying to organise home schooling for all children whether they usually attend a state school or one of the many fee paying private ones.    Because of the scare of the virus spreading through the younger generation, the government closed all schools last year.   The schools are having to provide a variety of online learning resources and curricuum subjects.  There are some places available at schools for the children of key workers so these also need to have classroom lessons provided.  Whether these actions od have a long term affect on this cohort of youngsters is of course unknown – it’s the first time since the mass evacuations of 1939 that school has been so interrupted and for such a long time.   In Europe there has been generally a closure of schools this year except in France but a recent spike in virus cases has called this into question.    One very interesting study later on would be which methods were the most successful in maintaining educaiton levels as opposed to maintaining virus safety.
